MCOM4M Micro Circular Overmould Connector — Overview

The MCOM4M is a 4-contact Micro Circular overmould subsea connector, male (pins) face, wet-mateable and rated to 10 A per contact (30 A per connector) at 7,000 m working depth. It is moulded directly onto the customer cable, giving a permanent, maintenance-free cable entry.

4 Contacts 600 V AC/DC 10 A per Contact 7,000 m Depth 500+ Wet Matings IP68

Key Design Features

  • Wet-mateable: mate and demate in seawater; each contact carries its own moulded O-ring seal, so a single seal failure does not flood the connector.
  • SubConn Compatible: identical face geometry, contact pitch and 7/16-20 UNF-2A thread, so it retrofits existing SubConn panels and harnesses without re-machining.
  • Gold-plated contacts: brass UNS-C36000 contacts hold contact resistance below 0.01 Ω across the full 500-cycle life.
  • 10 A per contact: rated current with a 30 A connector limit for the 4-contact shell.
  • Pressure qualified: 1,400 bar mated design depth, 800 bar open face, so the face survives handling and storage unmated.
  • Overmould body: moulded directly onto the customer cable for maximum pull strength and cable-entry integrity.

Sensor cable ends, small thruster and light harnesses, permanent terminations where access for re-termination is not available.

Notes for Selection

The overmould body is moulded directly onto the customer cable, removing the mechanical crimp joint and giving the highest pull strength and cable-entry integrity in the range. The 3 in (7 cm) PTFE leads shown are the factory pigtail used before moulding. This is the brass 4-contact male; the 4-contact range runs at 10 A per contact with a 30 A limit.

Custom configurations available Shell material (brass / 316L stainless steel / titanium / anodised aluminium / PEEK), thread and lead length, pin-out, cable length and hydrostatic test certificates can be specified to order. Send us your drawing or mating requirement for a quotation.
